Monarchs and Memories

I organized a 'Butterfly Bash" at the center where I work this past weekend. Chet and kids came and enjoyed the festivities. One of the highlights this year was a Monarch release! Julia and Bella were able to tag and release their own Monarch butterfly. As you can tell from the pictures, we like butterfly outfits (and apparently The Gap!). :)
Look close and you can spot Julia's butterfly was still scoping out the area. :)
A tagged Monarch- if a butterfly enthusiast spots the butterfly, we can find out where he/she is.

Ballet Under the Stars

This weekend has been SO busy which has been nice since we have had little to do on recent weekends. Almost every hour of the last few days have been full!

On Friday night, I took the girls to Ballet Under the Stars put on by Ballet Arizona. It at Tempe Center for the Arts lawn, set against the Tempe Town Lake (so pretty at night!). It was such a neat activity and I can't wait to do it again next summer.

Camille clapped loudly after every dance!

Student of the Month

Bella was chosen as student of the month for her 1st grade class. She loves her teacher and tries very hard to be a good student so she was so happy to be chosen! The principal and Bella
At her school, the student of the month gets to add their hand print to the wall. We are proud of you Bella!

Adored

As soon as I added the last post about Camille, I went into her room to find that Bella made her a bed fit for a queen (a doll bed mind you) and was reading to her. As much as she can bug her older sisters, they both adore her!

BFF

The last 2 years, Camille has been dragged around wherever we need to go- classes for her sisters, errands for me, etc. Very little was just for her. 3rd kid? Tired mom? Not sure.

But, now with the older girls are in school and Camille finally out of the "baby" stage, spending my time with just Camille has been the highlight of my day! I know that sounds potentially sarcastic since I know how challenging 2 year olds can be (and trust me, Camille is the poster child for 2 yr old behavior!) but it's true. I love spending my days with her- going to My Gym classes (her favorite, she asks for it 24-7), story time, even mundane errands are fun with her.
Her "mommy and me" class at My Gym.This is all I got when I asked her to smile for the camera!
She was too busy and having too much fun!
