Looking ahead

I love to see the girls with each other. Right now, Bella and Julia are in Julia's bed while Julia reads books to Bella. They are such good friends and love being together (most of the time). They both adore Camille and fight for her attention. Every morning brings an argument over who got to sit next to her last. Camille is a smiley and happy baby- but it's almost impossible to make her laugh on purpose. I try so hard- I jump up and down with the silliest faces only to be stared at with her poker face. She does laugh- you just can't make her do it. BUT, if her sisters look at her with a goofy face or as much as sneeze, she has a fit of giggles. She loves them!

I cannot wait to see what the future brings with these 3 wonderful daughters!

Inner princess

I admit, our girls are pretty girlie- we like "cute" stuff, the color pink, sweet movies (not scary ones), the list could go on and on. At the same time, they can be tough girls with rocker attitudes. Chet can get bored with with their girlie movies- the last one we watched was titled "Princess Protection Program"- I kid you not! Its a cute movie but pretty campy for most 30 yr old men.

To balance out the pink around here, he has been waiting for the magical age when he can break out the Star Wars series (series? trilogy? I am not a SW fan, can you tell?). They have loved it! They follow the storyline better than I ever have and are glued to the TV. Both girls are fighting over who can be Princess Leia for Halloween. :)

I think a part of him secretly embraces the inner princess as well! For our weekly Friday night movie night, he obliged and watched the newly released Hanna Montana Movie. Everyone knows that Hanna Montana is Miley's alter ego. So, meet Chet's alter ego!

"Real school"

Bella started her "real" preschool today. She has been in 2 preschool classes through the Parks/Rec but this is what she calls her "real" school. Luckily we found an amazing in-home preschool in our neighborhood- the teacher has a Master's in Education and her preschool is EXACTLY what we were looking for (small, play based, hands on manipulatives, not worksheet driven, etc). She was so excited to start today! It's a huge plus that the school is just down the street- now I can have more time with Camille and actually get some work done around the house (with a little blogging here and there). :)

Bella- we are so excited for you and can't wait to hear all about your day!

Amazingly enough, the teacher and I have a lot in common. We used to ride our bike trailers to the school on the same path every day. We didn't know each other but would always smile and say hello. I knew that she was pregnant at the same time I was and just found out that her son was born on the SAME day as Camille at the SAME hospital! Small world..

Shiny, white shoes...

Julia starts 2nd grade today and was very excited. Her best friend Ashlynn is in her class this year and will be sitting right next to her (alphabetical order). I bet that won't last long! :)
I think we are all ready to get back to a regular schedule with school, after school classes and teams. We had a FUN summer but the girls have been fighting so much being together 24/7, the time apart will be good for them.

Bella starts preschool in September- 2 days a week. It's such a short time (2 hrs a day) but she loves it and it will give me some time with Camille!

She is showing me that she is going to 2nd grade!
